Qibla Finder
Find the direction of the Kaaba in Makkah from wherever you are. On a phone, the compass turns with you.
Tap the button and allow location. Your location stays on your device — it is never sent to us.
How to use it
- 1
Allow location
We use it only to work out the direction to the Kaaba. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- 2
Hold your phone flat
Lay it face-up in your palm, away from magnets, speakers and metal. The arrow turns green when you face the Qibla.
- 3
Calibrate if needed
If the direction jumps around, move your phone in a figure-8 a few times to recalibrate its compass.
The direction is the shortest path over the earth to the Kaaba (21.4225° N, 39.8262° E), measured from true north. Phone compasses can be affected by nearby metal — inside the masjid, follow the marked prayer lines.
